The South Devon Railway has announced that they have NOW received over £220,000 in donations to their SOS appeal.
The South Devon Railway launched the appeal in order to raise funds vital in ensuring the heritage railway can survive during these difficult times caused by COVID-19. You can see their video appeal here.
As of Monday 13th July 2020, £223.093.64 had been donated to the SDR, which the line is very appreciative of and will increase their survival chances.
Donations have been made in a number of ways,
- £104,557.25 – donations from the South Devon Railway members.
- £70,735.91 – donations from various SDR Groups and the SDRA.
- £34,169.65 – Virgin Money Giving
- £8,747.33 – Facebook Appeal
- £4,883.00 – PayPal donations
This shows an increase of over £2,000 in since last weeks update!
