The Wagon Group has confirmed that an individual has contacted them to fully fund the cost of replacing the recently stolen tarpaulin cover.

The Group broke the sad new last Saturday 27th of June that a protective cover fitted to one of their wagons had been removed and taken from the railway.

As a Group financed mainly from their Sales Stand, and Freight Driving Courses, the over £400 cost to replace the cover is a large unexpected expense.

The Group would like to say a big thank you to the individual who donated the funds to replace the cover.

An order for a replacement cover has been made with Cunningham Covers, with the lettering to be painted on after the new cover arrives.

Volunteers carry out the repairs and maintenance on the wagons, with a GoFundMe page set up for anyone wishing to donate towards the Group and help with the upkeep of their collection.
