The Rail Accident Investigation Branch has confirmed that it launched an investigation after a near-miss at Worlingham railway level crossing.
At around 13:42 on the 8th June 2020, a train travelling between Lowestoft and Ipswich was involved in a near-miss with cars at Worlingham user worked crossing.
The signaller had given permission for the cars to cross the railway level crossing before the train arrived.
Thankfully, no damage or injuries were caused as a result of this incident.
The RAIB has decided to produce a safety digest, which will now be made available in the coming weeks.

He never reads the articles. He just looks at the pictures.
There has been lots of near miss with car drivers not obeying the rules and jumping the level crossings when the barriers are down and the trains coming. Same with pedestrians who have also ignored the red lights at level crossing across the country. So many idiots everywhere.
