GB Railfreight has announced a three year deal with DB Cargo UK to complete maintenance on ten Class 60 locomotives as well as providing technical support.
The agreement will see GBRf's engineering team work with DB Cargo UK to improve locomotive performance.
The Class 60 locomotives which have entered service will allow for heavier trains to run, meaning environmental benefits as the longer trains are more efficient to run.
Class 60s will be mainly assigned to trains hauling biomass to power stations.
