First steam locomotive tour since Coronavirus Lockdown to run this Wednesday

Steam locomotive 70000 Britannia will haul the first railtour after the coronavirus lockdown as it hauls ‘The Fellsman’ from Crewe to Carlisle, via Blackburn and Settle.

Departing Crewe at 07:50, the train will head through Hartford (08:05), Warrington Bank Quay (08:20), Wigan North Western (08:56), Leyland (09:21), Blackburn (09:50), Langho (10:05), Clitheroe (10:13), Hellifield (11:01), Ribblehead (11:24), Garsdale (11:39), Appleby (12:00), Lazonby & Kirkoswald (12:47) and Carlisle at 13:15.

After two and a half hours in Carlisle, the locomotive will go back the same path as the outbound journey. Departing Carlisle at 15:48, the train will pass through Appleby (16:34), Blea Moor (17:24), Hellifield (17:45), Clitheroe (18:55), Blackburn (19:22), Leyland (19:57), Wigan North Western (20:24), Warrington Bank Quay (20:42), Hartford (20:58) and finally Crewe at 21:26.
