has welcomed the arrival of the last two 09-4×4 Unimat tampers, with 75010 and 75011 joining 75008 and 75009.

The first two tampers arrived in April 2019, with them working on the South Rail Systems Alliance track renewal work.

The second pair of tampers arrived in April 2020, with all four machines being deployed throughout the Western and Wales and Southern NWR regions.

In total, the first tampers have completed 191 shifts.

The tampers all have the same capabilities as the previous models with the benefits of continuous motion tamping.

Another advantage is the hydrostatic drive which means that they can be coupled together, meaning a reduction in the need for two drivers and the route knowledge that comes with needing two drivers.
