The Rail Accident Investigation Branch has confirmed that an investigation has been launched after a fatal accident at London Waterloo underground station.
At around 10:11 on Tuesday, 26th May 2020, a person fell between the platform edge and a stationery northbound Bakerloo line train, which they had alighted from.
They sadly suffered fatal injuries due to the train starting to depart the platform.
The investigation by the RAIB is separate to any BTP investigation or any other organisations investigation.
The RAIB investigation will aim to identify the events leading the fatal accident, and will also consider factors relating to the supervision of the platform-train interface and other underlying factors.
The RAIB will publish the findings in due course.

Was the Bakerloo line train carrying envelopes and paper, or was it STATIONARY ?
Hate to speculate but a person fell between the platform edge and a stationery northbound Bakerloo line train at London Waterloo underground station. And suffered severe injuries. Was the person drunk or probably wasn’t feeling well whilst travelling.

You have been criticised before for speculating about the causes of accidents. It is unhelpful and could result in legal problems for you and the site publishing your comments, but you continue to do it.
Wait for the RAIB report like everyone else.
My wife will not use The Bakerloo Line at Waterloo Station,due to the big gap
from the train to the platform?
It is possible that anyone using Waterloo Station for the first time would not
be aware of the big gap,to comment on the passenger being drunk is rediculous!
I suggest any reader come down to Waterloo Station and see how big the gap is?
Centre doors on lengthy railway carriages are inherently, geometrically dangerous. It must be possible to devise a simple flap/bridge over gap which widens with the radius of the platform curve.
