The is to hold a virtual gala this coming weekend (20th/21st June 2020) to help raise money whilst the railway is closed.

Like all other railways in the UK, the pandemic has meant extended closures, and with railways being closed, it means no income from passenger tickets.

Over the course of the weekend, the Gwili Steam Railway will be posting a number of video clips on the railway's Facebook page (available to view by clicking here).

With such a wide variety of videos being posted, from footplate rides and locomotive light-ups, to messages from the Chairman and behind the scenes clips. A full timetable of videos for each day can be found by clicking here.

To help raise money for the Gwili Steam Railway, they have produced a 64-page event programme detailing everything that will be taking place over the weekend. The guide is available for £5 and is available from their site by clicking here.

With no passenger income, the Gwili Steam Railway urgently need your help. Please help where possible.

  • If the Gwili Railway Can Hopefully Succeed Successfully… So can other fellow Heritage Railways across the UK,

And if other Heritage Railways across the UK, Can Succeed Successfully so can the Glorious Gwili Railway too.

The Word ‘Gwili’ is one of the most interesting and glorious words/names I have ever learnt/come to know.

Also, I do believe the GR Aimfully Hope on Extending Northwards further up the Valley of the River Gwili – As far as Llanpumpsaint… (Which may still happen someday).

Quite A Lovely Welsh Name for A Local Country Village out there, is Llanpumpsaint.

  • Having previously visited, seen and briefly check out this Wonderful Welsh Heritage Railway more than a few years ago… I like to Wish the Gwili Railway Good Luck on this Fundraising Virtual Gala.

I’m Sure the Gwili Railway shall Successfully Succeed on this Virtual Gala and with their Conjured up Ideas to help Combat/Fight Back Covid-19 in Anyways Possible.

The Gwili Railway have since extended their own Well-Restored running line down the Valley as far South as Abergwili Junction (which I believe is to the North of the Welsh City of Carmarthen).

I do hope to revisit/return to this part of Wales ‘in-person’ someday, Especially to officially Ride Aboard one of the Gwili Railway’s own trains up and down the line for the first time,
As I’ve not yet rode aboard either the GR’s own trains, As I only saw and checked it out briefly.
