Over on the Taff Vale 28 Facebook page, an update has been released showing some of the 3D computer models that have been created.

Whilst the team overhauling No. 28 cannot work on the locomotive, one of the engineers has not been halted with the modelling software.

One of the items that the team are missing is the Roscoe displacement lubricator; this part of the locomotive sat on the side of the smokebox and sent steam oil into the main steam pipe.

Fortunately, the team has found a drawing in the archives of the Railway Museum.

The drawing has been used to make a 3D computer model which will be used to create engineering drawings and patterns for the parts.
