Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Plan for July 6th Reopening

Following Government advice and changes to social distancing rules, the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat have announced they plan to operate trains and boat rides from Monday 6th of July 2020, full details have yet to be finalised, and updates will be posted on their website soon.

When the railway and boat rides do reopen, many social distancing and other safety measures will be implemented to ensure safe travel for all staff, volunteers and passengers.

Changes to services will include:

  1. Fitting of protective screens on trains and boats

    Interior Carriage fitted with Screening // Credit Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat
    Interior Carriage fitted with Screening // Credit Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat.

  2. Reduced capacity
  3. Allocated seating
  4. One-way system in place in shops
  5. Queen’s Park Station’s The Head of Steam Cafe will have protective screens fitted.
  6. Increased cleaning to coaches and boats
