The Locomotive Ltd has published an update on their current position regarding COVID-19.

London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) Princess Royal Class No.6201 “Princess Elizabeth”

Last year in 2019 was a brilliant year for 6201, hauling many mainline tours throughout the UK, along the legendary Settle and Carlisle Route, down the picturesque North Wales coastline to Holyhead and many more.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 has caused many mainline tours to be either cancelled or postponed in 2020, with a list of mainline tours here.

This has meant ‘Lizzie' is currently in storage until mainline work picks up, leading to no income from hire fees being earned.

To help cover fixed costs the Society still needs to pay for, they are asking for your help in the form of donations. No matter what size the donation is, every penny will go to ensuring 6201 is ready for mainline service when the situation improves. Any support is greatly appreciated by the Society and its volunteers.
