The in Derbyshire is seeking donations to support their collection of trams from the impact of COVID-19.

Since closing on Saturday 21th of March 2020, with the UK lockdown starting from Monday 23rd of March, Crich Tramway Village has been closed to the public, with no revenue through ticket sales being generated.

Although most employed staff have been furloughed, fixed costs still needed to be paid. The Society does have funds, but these had been saved for ongoing or new projects. They say ‘losses this year will be immense and potentially crippling'

Donations of any size are greatly appreciated by the Society and can be made in a number of ways:

• Through their website at https://www.tramway.co.uk/contact/make-a-donation (select “General Museum Fund”);

For donations by cheque or bank transfer, details can be found on their website
