Didcot Railway Centre (DRC), home of the Great Western Society, has released special “Return Tickets” to help support them during the COVID-19 outbreak.
With COVID-19 slowly becoming less of a threat to the UK general public, many shops and businesses are beginning to reopen.
Although no date is set, DRC is looking ahead to see how they could open with social distancing and other measures in place. Located on a large site, DRC plan to have “Open-Air Discovery Days”, using both the large outdoor and indoor spaces they have to allow visitors to enjoy their engines and exhibits.
When the time comes and the Didcot Railway Centre can safely run their fleet of Great Western Railway locomotives, they will once again host their Steam Days.
By purchasing a Return Ticket, you get to visit both one Open-Air Discovery Day and one Steam Day, along with supporting Didcot Railway Centre with vital income to cover costs.
