The Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway have unfortunately announced that their line will be closed until the end of September due to the pandemic.

Although disappointing news, the uncertainty around COVID-19 and implementing social distancing and other measures means the railway feels closure to the end of September is the best action currently.

On top of this, special events before Sunday 1st of November 2020 have been cancelled; this includes the following events:

  1. Day Out With Thomas
  2. Fish and Chip Trains
  3. The 1940s and 1950s Event
  4. Autumn Steam Gala

The railway will be contacting anyone pre-booked on these special and other events to discuss options from Monday 1st of June by either phone or email.

With reduced staff, please be patient while the line contacts everyone.

Supporting the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway

The longer the line stays closed, the longer before vital income can be earned. This leaves many fixed costs still needing to be paid despite little to no income. Any donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated.
