  • My heart goes out to his family. RIP John Farrow. Such a sad day for his family and for UK Railtours. Very tragic.

  • I knew John when we both worked on BR’s London Midland Region. We also attended a marathon (eight week) course at the Management Training Centre at ‘The Grove’ Watford – where not impressed with the beer available, John used his management ‘initiative’ and arranged delivery of a single barrel from a Biggleswade brewery, which was ‘racked’ inside his wardrobe – and enjoyed by course participants in due course. His best titled railtour? ‘The Leuchars Aide’ must be near the top! R.I.P, John.

  • I am booked on ‘The Cotswold Lion’ and this was due to operate on Saturday 21 March 2020. This has also been postponed to a later date in the year.
