Stadler signs £99m agreement for more trams for Cracow

MPK Kraków has placed an order with for additional low-floor trams for use in the city of Cracow, .

A framework agreement for 60 new trams has now been signed between the two companies.

Combined with the order from January 2018, Stadler will now deliver a total of up to 110 trams to Cracow.

A framework agreement for the delivery of 60 TANGO Kraków Lajkonik II trams and two implementation contracts for the delivery of 10 and 25 vehicles were signed.

The value of the framework contract is approximately 120 million Swiss francs (approx £99m), with the delivery of the trams expected in Mid-2023.

  • Stadler are also manufacturing the Class 231 DMU Flirt, Class 398 Citylink tram-train and Class 756 Bi-Mode Flirt for Transport for Wales. And Merseyrail Class 777 METRO.

    And finishing off with the production of Greater Anglia Class 745/0 & Class 745/1 “Stansted Express” EMU Flirt and Class 755 Bi-Mode Flirt.
