DB Cargo UK and Transfesa Logistics have announced that they have launched a new 72-hour express rail freight service to support essential medical and food products from Valencia and Murcia in Spain to London.
In response to the needs of supplies such as perishable goods, this type of train features refrigerated boxes.
Currently, these lines serve various companies in the sector to transport fruits and vegetables. The objective is to develop these railway operations with a daily train.
For this purpose, a lighter box, of the UNIT 45 type, has been introduced, which allows around 30 containers per train to be moved.
The new service operates into DB Cargo UK's Barking Intermodal Terminal in London which is connected to the High Speed 1 (HS1) rail link.

This is far to long .I drove a lorry from Valencia to Spalding 20 years ago in 40 hours .so I don’t know what way thay are going .but that’s far to long.
That’s a brilliant idea. A new freight service from the UK to Spain and across Europe. Perhaps there could be a new continental service from London St. Pancras International to Madrid, Barcelona and to Portugal including Lisbon, Faro and The Algarve. And possibly a new high speed rail link to Gibraltar.
