Fire crews battle grass fire near Churnet Valley Railway

The fire appears to be on farmland on the hill next to the railway and not at the railway as reported in the fire service tweet below.

The Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that crews are battling with a grass fire near the . Three crews are currently in attendance at the fire.

 

There is no confirmation of whether the fire has damaged any railway property at the time of writing.

We are currently dealing with a grass fire at Churnet Valley Railway. We have three crews in attendance. Please avoid the area.
