has released an update on the construction progress on their new build British Railways Standard Class 3 Tank No.82045.

Despite the being closed where 82045 is based, due to COVID-19, some members of the trust and a contractor have been able to continue producing components while following the UK Government's COVID-19 advice.

Several fittings for the lubrication pipework have been machined by Richard Fraser, while John Pagett has drilled drainage holes in the sand ejectors for condensations.

The sand ejectors had previously been used on a diesel locomotive before being acquired for 82045.

Philip Oldfield Engineering has proceeded with work on the regulator valves, seeing them machine the valves.

Donations for the Future Fund have been coming in steadily. Launching other appeals has been halted while COVID-19 threatens heritage railways across the country.
