APPEAL: British Transport Police launch appeal after body found near Birmingham railway line

British Transport Police have released an appeal for further information after a body was found near the railway in Birmingham.

The body was found next to the lines between Bordesley Park Road and Arthur Street on Monday 30th March.

Officers were called to the area at 10 am and is believed the man was at the location around the 3:30 am

The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious; however, BTP officers are keen to establish how he came to be at the location.

They would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the man.

He is described as an Asian male, aged between 25 and 35-years-old, 5ft 6, very short hair and of a thin build.

He was wearing a black baseball cap, blue jumper, brown baggy shirt and trousers, a black woolly coat with a logo on the back, and black trainers.

The man was initially seen wearing a distinctive high-vis vest before he was found near the tracks.

It is believed the vest was discarded in the St Andrew's Court area at the junction of Bolton Street and Arthur Street.
