Steam locomotive 45562 Alberta in Carlisle this Saturday

UPDATE: The line is blocked by a landslip on the Cumbrian Coast. This tour will now be pathed down the Settle & Carlisle line.
There is currently NO timings for this leg of the tour.

Steam locomotive 45562 Alberta (45699 Galatea in disguise) will be back in steam on the mainline, and will be in Carlisle and Ravenglass on Saturday 14th March 2020.

The Jubilee locomotive is on a special railtour tomorrow. 45562 is hauling the Cumbrian Coast Express on Saturday.

The railtour departs London Euston behind an electric locomotive at approximately 07:10 am.

The railtour will then leave London Euston, bound for Carlisle, where it will make stops at Milton Keynes Central (07:45), Rugby (08:24), Crewe (09:37) and Preston (10:25), Penrith North Lakes (11:28) and Carlisle at 12:10.

The train will depart with at 11:24, passing through Oxenholme (11:35) and Penrith (11:58), it will go non stop to Carlisle, where it will arrive at 12:14.

After around an hour in Carlisle, and 45562 being added to the train, the locomotive will depart Carlisle at 13:32 bound for London Euston. It will pass through Maryport (14:14), Whitehaven (14:43), St Bees (14:54), Sellafield (15:09), Ravenglass (15:35) and Barrow in Furness (16:28) before arriving into Carnforth D&U.G.L at 17:16.

Here, 45562 is taken off the train, and an electric locomotive will take the same path back to London Euston, calling at Preston (18:28), Crewe (19:27), Nuneaton (20:27), Rugby (20:50), Milton Keynes Central (21:20) and Watford Junction at 22:05.

The railtour will arrive back at its final destination of London Euston at 22:33.
