Saphos Trains cancels all steam locomotive tours until May

has announced that they have cancelled a number of their upcoming trips due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.

All trains due to operate between the 20th March and 10th May 2020 have now been cancelled.

Every customer will receive a letter in due course to offer a 100% refund or to be transferred onto another train operating in 2020.

Trips after the 10th May 2020 will have a decision made upon in the coming weeks.

Vintage Trains have already cancelled a tour. Several heritage railways have cancelled or postponed events too.

Saphos Trains said:

As a professional travel promoter, we take the current situation regarding the Covid-19 virus very seriously.

The health and wellbeing of our valued customers and employees is of paramount importance and for that reason, we have made some further temporary amendments to our ‘Terms & Conditions of Booking and Travel'.

A decision regarding trains due to operate after the 10th May will be made in a few weeks as the situation develops and we will keep our customers updated.
