RMT strikes on South Western Railway SUSPENDED

The RMT has announced that strikes on South Western Railway in March have been suspended.

The strikes were set to take place on Monday 9, Tuesday 10, Thursday 12 & Friday 13th March. However, they have now been suspended to allow talks to take place.

Talks will now take place on Friday 6th March 2020.

South Western Railway has said that a full timetable will be reinstated for next week.

What did the officials say?

A spokesperson for South Western Railway said:

“We are pleased for our customers and colleagues that next week's strikes have been suspended, we hope that we can now find a solution to bring a permanent end to this dispute for everyone's sake.

“We are now working hard to reinstate the full timetable for next week.”
