Britannia Weekend postponed, but Easter steam trains will run, says East Lancashire Railway

The East Lancashire Railway in has announced that they have postponed their Best of British weekend, but Easter steam trains will still run.

The event, which was due to take place over the Easter weekend, would have seen steam locomotive 70000 Britannia visit the railway.

The gala will be rearranged for a later date in 2020.

Over the Easter holidays, will still be open as usual with a variety of family-friendly events.

The ELR follows the Great Central Railway, Ffestiniog Railway, and Churnet Valley Railway amongst others postponing events in light of the Coronavirus outbreak.
