The Watercress Line was full of excitement to have steam locomotive Flying Scotsman reopen Alton station, ahead of her three-week visit.
The Watercress Line has been unable to run to Alton, due to the Whitedown Lane bridge needing serious restoration work.
Flying Scotsman reopened the station on the 14th of February and will stay on the line until the 8th of March.
There are no tickets left for trains that Flying Scotsman will pull, but there are tickets for other trains on the day that will still allow you access to Flying Scotsman up close!

About Flying Scotsman
Flying Scotsman was built in 1923 by the LNER and named after the London to Edinburgh express service she was built for. In 1934, she was the first locomotive to reach 100mph officially. She was withdrawn from service in 1963, after 40 years of service.
In 2004, she was purchased by the NRM, and restored to working order in 10 years, costing £4.2 million. She can now be seen on the mainline and on heritage lines across the UK!
