Steam locomotives in York this Saturday – where to see them!

Steam locomotive 6233 Duchess of Sutherland and 60009 Union of South Africa are on the mainline this Saturday, their first tour of the 2020 season.

The locomotives will be heading from Ealing Broadway, in London, to York and will be hauling ‘The Valentines White Rose’.

Departing Ealing Broadway at 06:56, 6233 Duchess of Sutherland will pass through Kensal Rise (07:15), Gospel Oak (07:26), Alexandra Palace (07:41), Potters Bar (07:55), Welwyn Garden City (08:04), Knebworth (08:10), Stevenage (08:13), Sandy (08:40), Huntingdon (08:57), Peterborough (09:54), Grantham (10:46), Newark North Gate (11:27), Doncaster (12:38), and York at 13:14.

60009 will take over the return journey. Departing York at 16:36, the locomotive will pass through Doncaster (17:09), Retford (17:48), Newark North Gate (18:12), Grantham (18:44), Peterborough (19:16), Huntingdon (20:15), Sandy (20:34), Stevenage (20:53), Knebworth (20:58), Welwyn Garden City (21:04), Potters Bar (21:17), Alexandra Palace (21:32), Finsbury Park (21:41), Gospel Oak (22:16), Brondesbury (22:24), Acton Main Line (22:43) and Ealing Broadway (22:46).
