Yesterday we reported on the flooding caused by Storm Ciara at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
Photos kindly supplied to us by Noel Hartley, have revealed the heroic effort by the volunteers of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway at starting to clear up the mess at Haworth left behind by Storm Ciara.
Storm Ciara hit the UK last weekend, causing widespread disruption. However, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway at Haworth seems to be one of the worst-hit.
The extent of the damage to the railway infrastructure and locomotives is not yet known, but at least with the branches and debris cleared, assessing the full extent of damage can be completed.

Haworth MPD is home to several Keighley & Worth Valley Railway residents, including 41241, 45212, 45596 ‘Bahamas', 85, 5820 ‘Big Jim' and 43924. It is also home to some of the railway's diesel locomotives, including 37075 and the diesel railbus.
This is brilliant to see, with the KWVR bouncing back, make sure you pay them a visit over half term!
