UPDATE: has now cleared – trains are now running again

London Northwestern Railway has confirmed that there has been substantial damage to the points and track in the London Euston area and means there is major disruption to trains this morning.

There is no estimate on how long it will take to repair the damaged track.

London Northwestern Railway train services are significantly reduced whilst Network Rail engineers work to repair the damage.

This disruption is also affecting Avanti West Coast services north from and also heading into London.

passengers may use their ticket with Chiltern Railways between Birmingham Snow Hill and London Marylebone via High Wycombe in both directions.

passengers may use the following services:

  • Southern between Milton Keynes Central – London Victoria via Clapham Junction
  • London Overground between and Watford Junction.

This is a developing story and will be updated when more information is available.
