The Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway has announced that their new Pullman carriage, named Gwyrfai, will taking centre stage at this year's Caravan & Motorhome Show at Event City in Manchester.
This carriage was built by craftsmen working at Boston Lodge, Porthmadog, North Wales. Named ‘GWYRFAI' in October 2019, the carriage entered passenger service last year.
Once at Event City, visitors to the Caravan and Motorhome Show will be able to climb aboard and experience for themselves the craftsmanship and luxury of the carriage's interior. The carriage will also be laid out for a full Pullman afternoon tea; something passengers travelling on the Railway can book in advance.
The carriage can be found on Stand 3-53.

Hi all, visited the show and was pleased to see this coach there and took the opportunity for a walk through. I don’t think that we give enough credence to the people who can produce this and other magnificent coaches that we and many passengers usually take for granted (witness trying to slam shut the doors!) Took the opportunity to talk to the Caernarvon station manager who was on the stand and discussed with him the leaking new build station roof there, which is says is fixed now at the third attempt by the contractor. Also, he was as one with me on my comment about the dearth of trains from Caernarvon (there around a six hour gap 0930 – 1500 hrs) between the normal two train service and agreed with me that the railway should perhaps consider running a shuttle, say to to Rhydd Du in between the regular service trains, as passengers who miss the morning train cannot ride on any other during the vast majority of the year. So, nice coach but there needs to more trains to enjoy both these coaches and the line.
