Steam locomotive No.45231 The Sherwood Forester will be out on the mainline and be completing test runs in preparation for its first tour of the year.

Thursday 30th January 2020 will see the locomotive operating on the mainline between Crewe and Chester.
The test runs will be operated by Locomotive Services TOC Ltd, who are connected to Icons of Steam – who own 45231 The Sherwood Forester.
Running twice on Thursday, 45231 will operate via Beeston Castle between Crewe and Chester. Timings can be found below for timings for each day:
Thursday 30th January 2020
- 5D41 0900 Crewe H.S. to Chester
- 5K42 1110 Chester to Crewe
- 5D43 1330 Crewe to Chester
- 5K44 1440 Chester to Crewe H.S.
