CLEARED: Person hit by train near Keighley means rail disruption

Class 333 at Keighley heading for Skipton

Due to a person being hit by a train, all trains between and Shipley are being delayed.

As a result, trains between Skipton and Shipley may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Delays are expected until 11:00.

Alternative travel advice has been issued by Northern:

A rail replacement coach service will run between and Skipton in both directions. The buses are expected to arrive between 09:30-10:00.

Buses have also been requested between Skipton and Lancaster/Carlisle.

You may use your tickets on TransPennine Express services between Leeds – Manchester Piccadilly – Carlisle.

Passengers can also use any relevant tickets on services from Leeds to Preston (Blackpool North) to connect with train services to Lancaster and Skipton.
