The Churnet Valley Railway (CVR) are looking forward to their Super Power Weekend Take 2, which will see two very special events take place.
Super Power Weekend Take 2
Firstly, the event will see the official public launch of the CVR's “Reconnect Leek” appeal, with all the ticket sales and donations over the weekend going towards the appeal.
Secondly, the gala will feature three United States Army Transportation Corps (USATC) S160 Class running the length of the railway. These are 5197, 6046 and 2253 “Omaha” (Courtesy of Peter Best and the Dartmouth Steam Railway).
“Reconnect Leek” appeal
The first stage has been completed in Late 2019 with 200 metres of track being laid from Leek Brook towards Leek, thanks to the Churnet Valley Railway and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council providing the finance. For more information, please click here.
