GWR 0-6-0 1369 finished her 2-year overhaul this autumn and now sees duties at Buckfastleigh on shunting work.

Lots of her parts were completed during 2018 and early 2019 as work to her boiler and frames took up the majority of the work.

She passed her steam test and hydraulic test with flying colours and had her first warming fire on Wednesday 2nd October 2019.

Her first appearance on the branch was the following day working the 56-mile blue timetable with 5 coaches. She performed well and the fitters saw opportunities to make changes to the loco.

Work to her cab is undergoing as many believe that the cab was rushed and finished for her to go out on the branch. Winter works are seeing her make adjustments to her cab and her final coat of paint into Great Western Colours. Magnetic strips have been temporarily applied with the final coat being applied over winter.

1369 is due to stay at the South Devon Railway in the 2020 season on driver experience and shunting work.
