  • More Class 158’s and Class 170’s are to be cascaded from ScotRail to Northern to improve better rail services that Northern wants to improve on. As well new trains operating in the East Midlands, Yorkshire and Humberside. And Class 323 cascaded from West Midlands Railway to operate on the busier electrified services including the Manchester Piccadilly-Hatfield & Glossop services.

  • Not a great start. This week so far: 4 cancellations and 5 services starting/stopping in Leeds. Short formed many times as well. Northern are not capable of running their existing services let alone support new ones .
