MAJOR DISRUPTION: Person hit by train near Finsbury Park

It has been confirmed that a person has been hit by a train between Finsbury Park and . This has resulted in all lines being blocked.

There is no estimate as to when trains will begin running again. It is anticipated that disruption will last until 16:00.

Trains are currently unable to run between London and Alexandra Palace. Trains may be delayed by up to 90 minutes or be cancelled.

/ are STRONGLY advising its passengers to delay travelling until later today.

Travel options for passengers:

LNER tickets will be valid on:

  • Avanti West Coast to and from London Euston
  • East Midlands Railway to / from London St Pancras International
  • TransPennine Express via any reasonable route
  • Thameslink and Great Northern services between London and Peterborough
Great Northern / Thameslink have released the following options:

Travelling to Cambridge

If you require services to Cambridge you are advised to use London Underground services to London Liverpool Street and change there for services to Cambridge. If you are at Finsbury Park requiring Cambridge you should use London Underground services to Tottenham Hale and change there for Greater Anglia services to Cambridge.

Travelling to Peterborough

You should travel to London Liverpool Street for Greater Anglia services to Ely. At these stations you should change for CrossCountry or East Midland services to Peterborough.

Travelling to Hertford North

Use the London Underground ( Piccadilly line) to Tottenham Hale. You should change there for Greater Anglia services to Hertford East.

London Underground via any reasonable route

Greater Anglia between London Liverpool Street and Cambridge/Ely

London Overground between London Liverpool Street and Enfield Town.

CrossCountry between Cambridge and Peterborough

East Midlands Railway between Ely and Norwich

Buses

London Buses between Central London, Crews Hill and Hadley Wood.

Routes 602 Hatfield, St Albans City and Radlett

Route 653 Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield and St Albans City
