From Monday 16th December, along the Gospel Oak to Barking route, there will be two extra early morning services.
These extra services are to meet the growing customer demand along this line.
The new services will depart Barking at 05:39 and 05:54 and are to run on weekdays only and are necessary to meet the growing passenger numbers.
Earlier in the year, new electric trains entered service on the line, which helped with the growing numbers.
The route will be continued to be operated by new Class 710 four-car trains. These trains feature USB points and real-time information screens along with a walkthrough and are fully air-conditioned.

Rory O'Neill, TfL's General Manager for London Overground, said:
‘These two additional early morning trains are being introduced to meet growing customer demand on the route since the introduction of the new electric trains earlier this year.'

I’m hoping that London Overground will be introducing the Class 710 four-car trains on the Lea Valley Lines (Liverpool St-Chingford, Cheshunt and Enfield Town) and Romford-Upminster shuttle before the end of 2019. Or in the new year. With the Class 315 to be sent for scrap and Class 317 to be sent for storage or whoever will take the Ex-LO Class 317 units to increase capacity on other routes. Proparly Greater Anglia might keep some of their Class 317s and to use them on the Crouch Valley Line (Wickford-Southminster) or Stratford-Hertford East and Meridian Water shuttle.
