Steam locomotive LNER ‘A1’ No. 60163 ‘Tornado’ will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in London and York on Saturday 14th December 2019.
The A1 locomotive is hauling ‘The Christmas White Rose’ from London Kings Cross to York.
The railtour departs London Kings Cross behind the steam locomotive at approximately 07:23 am.
The railtour will then pass through Alexandra Palace (07:41), Welwyn Garden City (08:01), Stevenage (08:11), Sandy (08:29), Peterborough (09:29), Grantham (10:14), Newark North Gate (10:26), Doncaster (11:53) and York at 12:26.
The return journey will see Tornado depart at 16:35. The train will then pass through Doncaster (17:12), Retford (18:12), Newark North Gate (18:30), Grantham (18:58), Peterborough (19:30), Stevenage (21:23), Potters Bar (21:38) and London Kings Cross (22:00).
