A road vehicle has collided with a road bridge at Church and Oswaldtwistle, between Blackburn and Accrington, and means trains can not run at this time.
The incident means all lines are blocked.
Train services running between Accrington and Blackburn are now subject to cancellation or delay.
Disruption is expected until 18:00.
Passengers are advised to check before travelling on trains between these stations.
