TransPennine Express says DO NOT TRAVEL this weekend

Due to heavy rain flooding the railway in the Sheffield area, services are disrupted between Manchester Piccadilly, Sheffield, Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Cleethorpes.

Customers are advised NOT TO TRAVEL by the train operator.

All lines will remain closed until further notice and are not expected to reopen until Monday 11th November.

Customers with tickets dated 8th, 9th or 10th November will be able to use their tickets once the lines have reopened.

Passengers who decide to travel should be advised that journeys times will be considerably longer than normal.

There is a limited service operating between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield in both directions as well as between Scunthorpe and Cleethorpes in both directions.

Customers travelling to/from Doncaster from Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly are advised that ticket acceptance is in place with LNER and Northern rail in both directions between Leeds & Doncaster. Then change at Leeds for Manchester and Doncaster service.

Customers travelling to/from Sheffield from Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly are advised to board Northern services between Sheffield and Leeds. Change at Leeds for Manchester and Doncaster service.
