TransPennine Express issues DO NOT TRAVEL warning as floods hit South Yorkshire again

Flooding in the Kirk Sandall area means some trains by and are unable to run through the station.

TransPennine Express services are suspended between and .

Northern are unable to run between and . Trains between Doncaster and Scunthorpe will run at a reduced speed.

It is anticipated that disruption in this area is expected to last until the end of service today (Friday 15th November).

Alternative travel advice:

TransPennine Express

Due to the severity of the flooding, TransPennine Express are advising passengers NOT TO TRAVEL where possible.

If you do choose to travel, the following ticket acceptance is in place:

  • TransPennine Express services between Manchester Airport and York, and between Scunthorpe and Cleethorpes.
  • LNER services between York and Doncaster
  • East Midlands Railway services between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield
  • Northern services between Doncaster and Scunthorpe (Road transport has also been requested to run between these stations)

Northern

Rail replacement buses will operate as follows:

  • 3 x Full-size Ross Travel coaches to run Doncaster – Goole (calling booked stations) ETA 07.00
  • 3 x Full-size Cab Executive coaches to run Goole – Doncaster (calling booked stations) ETA from 07.15
