Steam locomotive 46100 Royal Scot on test NOW!

LMS ‘Scot’ No. 46100 ‘Royal Scot’ will be passing through Shrewsbury today as it completes a test run today, Wednesday 27th November 2019.

The locomotive has been at the Severn Valley Railway recently completing running in after heavy repairs.

Departing Crewe H.S. at 09:30, the locomotive will pass through Crewe (10:01), Chester (10:38), Wrexham General (11:00), Chirk (11:10), Shrewsbury (11:42), Colton Hill T.C. (11:57 – 12:43), Shrewsbury (12:48), Telford Central (13:13), Cosford (13:21), Stafford (14:43), Madeley (15:04), Crewe (15:19) and Crewe H.S. at 16:00.

Please be aware that this is a light engine movement and is subject to change and cancellation at short notice.

  • Have just been lucky to see the Royal Scot steaming magnificently over the viaduct at Cefn Mawr just outside Wrexham …..she looks great !
