Stadler signs $600m contract for new trains in America

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) and have announced that they have signed a contract for the delivery of 127 METRO trains with two options for 25 additional trains each.

MARTA had awarded the contract to Stadler in the spring.

The contract is worth over 600 million US dollars.

The new trains are scheduled for service at the world's largest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

According to the contract, the first vehicles will be in passenger service from 2023.
