Police appeal for information after person assaulted at Tottenham Court Road station

The are appealing for witnesses after an assault at Underground station on 20 October.

The incident happened at approximately 7.30pm after a man challenged a group of women after they allegedly caused a disturbance.

The man was then assaulted, it is believed this was witnessed by a number of other passengers.

Officers attended and arrested a 32-year-old woman from Rochester and a 29-year-old woman from Rochester on suspicion of common assault.

They've since been released under police investigation while enquiries continue.

Anyone who was at Tottenham Court Road station and witnessed what happened is asked to contact BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 1900090302.
