Nene Valley Railway set to build 5-inch miniature railway

The has announced that they are planning to build a brand new miniature railway at their terminus.

The Wansford Miniature Railway is the railway's new project to build a 5” gauge miniature railway at Wansford. The location of the new line will be near to the childrens play area.

The miniature railway will be able to transport visitors from the play area up to the engineering shed for the viewing gallery.

The project to build a 5” Gauge Miniature passenger-carrying railway at Wansford on the Nene Valley Railway has started, although the project will be supported by donations only.

The Nene Valley Railway has track, sleepers and some passenger carriages.

Once complete, the railway will run with a mixture of scale Steam and Battery Locomotives.
