UPDATED: LNER disruption after two trains crash near Leeds

It has been announced that there has been a collision between two empty passenger trains last night near Leeds.

The collision, from pictures on social media, are showing a collision between a brand new LNER Azuma (800109) and HST Power Car 43300.

No one has been injured in the collision but it is meaning there is some disruption this morning on LNER services.

Some services are to be cancelled throughout between Leeds and London Kings Cross.

Some services between Lincoln and London Kings Cross will be cancelled or changed to cancelled between Lincoln and Newark North Gate.

Disruption is expected to continue until approximately 18:30.
