is inviting passengers in to find out more about work to improve the railway station.

Network Rail has been working since October to extend platforms 1-4 to enable newer and longer trains with more seats to stop at the station.

Work is also taking place to trim back platform canopies to accommodate overhead line equipment. This is important work which will allow the route between London and Kettering and Corby via Bedford to be electrified.

The work will see the canopies refurbished and engineers will be reinstating some lost architectural details based on historic drawings of the station.

Network Rail is holding a public information event on Tuesday, 26 November for those wishing to find out more about the project. This will take place at Kettering station between 15:00 and 18:00. Workers from Network Rail will be on hand to answer any questions which attendees have.

Anyone who cannot make the event but wishes to find out more, should call the Network Rail National Helpline on 03457 11 41 41 or visit the Network Rail website.
