has announced a new team of 6 to help make travel safer during large scale events on their West Anglia route.

The team is focused on strategic planning, aimed at preparing stations for times of large scale travel, ensuring trains keep to time, managing queues, helping people purchase the correct ticket, helping people who need ramp assistance, and ensuring health & safety procedures are followed.

The team is focused on three stations, Northumberland Park, Meridian Water and Tottenham Hale, as the area around these stations is undergoing re-development, and since the opening of the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (which can hold over 62,00 people, making it the largest club stadium in London), more than 65 events have been planned in the local area over the year, including NFL, boxing, concert, rugby and festivals.

During these events, it is predicted that there will be many more people than usual travelling by train, and the team's job is to help this happen safely and with minimal disruption to the usual operation.

What did the officials say?

The Events Delivery Manager, Canute Tyndale, said:

“Thousands of people travel through these stations in a very short period of time during large-scale events, so it's important that we keep people and trains moving.

“Our customers can feel good in the knowledge that they can turn up at the stations on events days to find a team of people who are ready to go the extra mile to support them on their journey.”
