Porterbrook donate 2 Class 43 locomotives to the 125 Group

has announced that they are being donated two mainline Class 43 power cars.

The two power cars will join the 125 Group on a permanent basis from leasing company .

Production Inter-City 125 power cars 43048 and 43089 are owned by Porterbrook and are currently operated by .

43048 and 43089 will be handed to the 125 Group at the end of their working life.

What did the officials say?

The 125 Group said:

125 Group was founded in 1994 with the aim of preserving a working Inter-City 125 for future generations. Our volunteers and trustees have given their valuable time, sweat and passionate commitment over the past 25 years, fundraising and building a sound reputation in preservation and with the railway industry, working towards this goal. We are extremely grateful to Porterbrook for their wonderful, generous donation!
