Ltd has announced that the boiler for their new-build, Great Western Railway 6800 “Grange” Class No.6880 “Betton Grange”, will be hydraulically tested later this week at Tyseley Locomotive Works.

Tests

Once the hydraulic test is passed, the next step will be to fill the boiler with water and light the first fire the boiler has seen in decades.

This is a big milestone for the company in the construction of 6880, which is progressing well.

Recent work on the chassis has seen handrails attached and painting on newly added parts.
