has announced that it has collaborated with local ‘Love Vegan' bar creator to give selected First Class passengers a free vegan snack to enjoy on their journey to celebrate World Vegan Day on Friday 1 November.

Love Vegan bars were created by Jennifer Sargison.

Jennifer, who lives in Nottingham, created the bars after becoming a vegan herself three years ago.

On East Midlands Railway train services, the train operator offers a range of vegan options onboard their services.

EMR Vegan options include snacks such as Tyrrells crisps, Dormans nuts and Biscoff biscuits. A full vegan breakfast is available and lighter lunch options include Linda McCartney sausages and a falafel & houmous wrap. Soy milk is also available to enjoy with tea or coffee.

What did the officials say?

Neil Grabham, Customer Services Director for EMR said

“Our EMR Treats are a great way for us to surprise and delight our customers and it's even better that we can collaborate with local businesses from the East Midlands and share their products with people that travel with us”.

Jennifer Sargison, creator of Love Vegan said

“We are delighted to be working with East Midlands Railway at a very exciting time in our brand development.

“Being a local business and with a product that is produced in the East Midlands we are absolutely delighted with this collaboration and hope it is a huge success for all concerned”.
